Account Settings

Learn how to manage your Roastify account settings, profile, and preferences

Your Roastify account is where you manage all aspects of your profile, security settings, and preferences. This guide covers everything you need to know about managing your account.

Accessing Account Settings

To access your account settings:

Click on your profile icon in the top right corner of the navigation

Select Settings from the dropdown menu

Use the sidebar to navigate to different settings sections

Profile Management

Viewing Your Profile

Your profile information includes:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Profile picture
  • Account creation date

Your email is tied to your account login and cannot be changed. Contact support if you need to use a different email.

Updating Your Profile

Go to Settings > Account (or click your profile)

Click Edit Profile or Manage Account

Make changes to:

  • Profile photo (upload a new image)
  • Display name
  • Phone number
  • Business name (optional)

Click Save Changes

Profile Photo Tips

For best results:

  • Use a square image (1:1 ratio)
  • Recommended size: 400x400 pixels
  • Accepted formats: PNG, JPG
  • Make sure your face is visible and well-lit

Security Settings

Password Management

Go to Settings > Security

Click Change Password
Enter your current password
Enter and confirm your new password

Click Update Password

Choose a strong password with at least 8 characters, including numbers and special characters.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account.

Go to Settings > Security

Find the Two-Factor Authentication section
Click Enable 2FA
Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
Enter the verification code to confirm

Save your backup codes in a safe place

If you lose access to your authenticator app, you'll need a backup code to log in. Keep these safe!

Active Sessions

View and manage devices where you're logged in:

Go to Settings > Security

Find the Sessions or Active Devices section
Review all active sessions

Click Sign Out on any session you don't recognize

Notification Preferences

Control what emails and notifications you receive:

Email Notifications

Go to Settings > Notifications

Review the available notification types:

  • Order updates
  • Shipping notifications
  • Marketing emails
  • Product updates
  • New features
Toggle each notification on or off according to your preferences

Click Save Preferences

Business Information

If you sell coffee as a business, you can add business details:

Go to Settings > Business

Fill in your business information:

  • Business name
  • Business type (Sole Proprietor, LLC, etc.)
  • Business address
  • Tax ID (optional, for tax reporting)

Click Save

Business information is used for tax documentation, order shipping labels, invoicing, and compliance requirements.

Connected Accounts

Linking External Accounts

You can connect external services to your Roastify account:

  • Clerk - Your authentication provider. Manage your login methods and account recovery.
  • Stripe - Payment processing for your hosted store. Connected in billing settings.

To manage connected accounts:

Go to Settings > Connected Accounts

Review all connected services

Click Manage on any service to adjust settings

Deleting Your Account

If you want to delete your Roastify account entirely:

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data, products, orders, and settings will be deleted.

Go to Settings > Account

Scroll to the bottom of the page
Click Delete Account
Confirm by typing "DELETE" in the confirmation field

Click Confirm Deletion

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account:

  • All products and designs
  • Order history
  • Payment information
  • Store settings
  • Integration connections
  • Subscription and billing records

What We Keep

For legal and compliance reasons, we may retain:

  • Transaction records (required by law)
  • Customer support correspondence
  • Anonymized analytics data

After deletion, you cannot recover any account data. Download anything you need before deleting.

Troubleshooting

"I can't access my account"

If you can't log in:

  1. Try password reset at the login page
  2. Check your email for any account notices
  3. Contact support@roastify.app with your account email

"I didn't receive the verification email"

Check these locations:

  • Spam or junk folder
  • Promotions tab (in Gmail)
  • Archive or old folders
  • Try adding support@roastify.app to contacts

"Something is wrong with my account"

For any other issues:

  • Email support@roastify.app
  • Include your account email
  • Describe the issue clearly
  • Include any error messages
  • Allow 1-2 business days for response
