Payments & Billing

Learn how to manage your payment methods, view transactions, and handle subscription billing

This guide covers everything related to payments, billing, and transaction management in your Roastify account.

Payment Methods

A valid payment method is required for Shopify dropshipping and API orders. Without one, orders cannot be processed.

Accepted Payment Methods

Roastify accepts:

  • Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Debit cards with Visa/MC logo

Adding or Updating Your Payment Method

Go to Settings > Billing

Find the Payment Method section
Click Update Card or Add Credit Card
Enter new card information

Click Save

Roastify uses Stripe for secure payment processing. We never store payment information directly.

Keep your payment method current to avoid service interruptions. If a payment fails, you'll receive an email and have 7 days to update your payment information.

Transaction History

View all charges and balance adjustments in your account:

Go to Settings > Billing

View your last 100 transactions

Pre-account purchases may not appear in your transaction history. Contact support@roastify.app for historical transaction inquiries.

Transaction Types

Subscription Management

Base and Pro Memberships renew automatically (monthly or annually).

Understanding Your Billing Date

Your billing date is:

  • The date you first upgraded to a paid plan
  • The same day each month (for monthly) or year (for annual)

What You're Billed For

Monthly Plan:

  • Plan fee charged monthly
  • Plus any additional usage fees
  • Prorated charges for upgrades

Annual Plan:

  • Plan fee charged yearly
  • Often discounted vs. monthly
  • Same renewal date each year

Viewing Your Current Plan

Navigate to Settings > Plans

Review your current plan details including:

  • Current plan name (Free Trial, Base, or Pro)
  • Billing cycle (monthly or annual)
  • Next billing date
  • Current status (active, past due, etc.)

We cannot offer partial refunds for mid-cycle cancellations.

Order Charges

When orders are fulfilled, you're charged:

How Dropship Orders Are Charged

  1. Customer places order in your Shopify/hosted store
  2. Order syncs to Roastify
  3. Product cost + shipping charged to your payment method (or wallet balance)
  4. Order is fulfilled and shipped

Getting Receipts

Receipts are sent to your email at each billing cycle. You can also view them:

Go to Settings > Billing
Find the transaction in your history
Click to view or download the receipt

Refund Policy

What We Don't Refund

  • Partial months (downgrades)
  • Unused features during billing period
  • Setup fees or one-time charges
  • Professional Services fees

What We May Refund

We review refund requests case-by-case for:

  • Technical issues preventing service use
  • Billing errors
  • Exceptional circumstances

Requesting a Refund

Include your account email
Explain the situation clearly

Allow 3-5 business days for response

Troubleshooting

"Payment Failed"

If your payment fails:

  1. Check that your card information is correct
  2. Ensure the card hasn't expired
  3. Verify sufficient funds are available
  4. Try a different payment method

If the issue persists, contact your bank - they may be blocking the transaction.

"I was charged twice"

Duplicate charges are rare but can happen. Contact support@roastify.app with:

  • The date of charges
  • Amounts charged
  • Last 4 digits of card used

We'll investigate and refund any errors within 5 business days.

"I can't update my payment method"

Try using a different browser
Clear your browser cache and cookies
Ensure pop-ups are allowed for the Stripe payment window
Contact support if issues persist
