Analytics
Learn how to use the analytics dashboard to monitor your business metrics, track orders, and view your top-selling products
Your dashboard is the command center for your Roastify business. From here, you can see key metrics, track your order performance, and get an at-a-glance view of how your business is performing.
Understanding Your Dashboard
When you first log in, you'll see several key areas:
Metrics Cards
The top of your dashboard displays four key metrics in a grid layout:
- Total Products - The number of products you've created and published. Shows the total count and how many were added in the last 7 days.
- Total Orders - All orders ever placed through your connected sales channels. Displays the total count and how many orders were placed in the past 7 days.
- Open Orders - Orders that are currently being processed or shipped but not yet fulfilled. Shows the count of orders not yet fulfilled.
- Membership - Your current plan (Free Trial, Base, or Pro) with a "Manage" button that links to your plan settings. Also displays your Stripe subscription status.
The metrics update in near real-time, so you always see the current state of your business.
Charts and Visualizations
Below the metrics cards, you'll find:
- Annual Orders Chart: A visualization showing your order volume over time. This helps you spot trends and compare performance across different periods.
Recent Activity
The bottom section of your dashboard shows two side-by-side cards:
-
Recent Orders: A table showing your previous 5 orders with columns for Date, Customer, Items (total quantity), and Status. Each row includes a "View →" link to see full order details. If you have no recent orders, it displays "No recent orders". At the bottom, there's a "View all orders" link that takes you to the full orders page.
-
Top Selling Products: A table showing products that have sold the most in the last 30 days. Displays Name (clickable if the product exists), Type, and Sales count. If you have no top selling products, it displays "No top selling products... yet...". At the bottom, there's a "View all products" link that takes you to the full products page.
Interacting with Dashboard Elements
Metrics Cards
Each metric card displays hover effects and can help you quickly understand your business status at a glance. The cards show:
- A large number for the main metric
- A smaller subtitle with additional context (like "added in last 7 days" or "in the past 7 days")
- An icon representing the metric type
Recent Orders Table
Each order in the Recent Orders table shows:
- Date: Formatted as "Mon DD, YYYY" (e.g., "Jan 15, 2024")
- Customer: The name from the shipping address, or "No Name" if not available
- Items: Total quantity of all items in the order
- Status: A status badge indicating the current order status
- View →: A link that takes you to the detailed order page
Top Selling Products Table
Each product in the Top Selling Products table shows:
- Name: The product name (truncated to 30 characters). If the product exists, the name is clickable and links to the product detail page.
- Type: The product type (e.g., "Whole Bean", "Ground", etc.)
- Sales: The number of sales in the last 30 days
Dashboard on Mobile
The dashboard is fully responsive and works on mobile devices, though some visualizations may be simplified for smaller screens. For the best experience with the Design Studio, we recommend using a desktop computer.
The Design Studio requires a desktop or laptop computer. You can view your dashboard and manage orders on mobile, but creating or editing designs works best on larger screens.
Troubleshooting
"My metrics aren't showing"
"I don't see recent orders"
Recent orders appear once you have orders. The dashboard shows the last 5 orders. If you've placed orders but don't see them:
- Orders may take a few minutes to appear after placement
- The dashboard only shows the most recent 5 orders - click "View all orders" to see your complete order history
- Verify the orders were successfully placed
"Chart isn't loading"
Charts require JavaScript and may not load if:
- Your browser has JavaScript disabled
- You're using an ad blocker that interferes with charting libraries
- Try a different browser or disable your ad blocker temporarily
