Shopify Integration
Learn how to integrate Roastify with Shopify
Overview
Roastify integrates with Shopify to help you manage your products and orders. This guide will walk you through the steps to integrate Roastify with Shopify.
Prerequisites
Before you start, make sure you have the following:
- A Roastify account
- A Shopify account with Shopify Store
- Admin access to your Shopify account (to install the Roastify app)
Install Instructions
Go to the Shopify App Store and install the Roastify app by clicking the Install
button. Be sure to log in to your Shopify account before installing the app.
Before installing the app, you will be asked to accept the permissions Roastify needs to access your Shopify store. Click Install
to accept the permissions.
After installing the app, you will be redirected to the Roastify app. Click on the Store Switcher
dropdown in the top navigation bar. In the dropdown you should see your newly connected Shopify store.
In order to start creating products in Roastify and selling them in Shopify, you must first activate your account
Setting Fulfillment Location
Once you have connected your Shopify store to Roastify, you can start creating products in Roastify and selling them in Shopify. When a customer places an order in your Shopify store, Roastify will automatically fulfill the order and ship the product to the customer.
If the Roastify app has been installed properly, all new products that are made in Roastify and synced in Shopify will have Roastify listed as the fulfillment service. You can view this in the Shopify product editor by clicking on the product, finding its variants, and looking at the Location
. Roastify should be listed as the Location
for each variant.
If Roastify is not listed under the Location
for your variant, try selecting Roastify from the Inventory
dropdown. This should update the Location
to Roastify. If this does not work, please contact our support team for assistance.
For most people, this process is pretty seamless. However, if you encounter any issues with fulfillment, please contact our support team for assistance.
Order Fulfillment
When a customer places an order in your Shopify store for Roastify products, a fulfillment request will automatically be sent to Roastify. Roastify receives this fulfilment request and performs a few validations to ensure the order is valid, such as confirming active SKUs, etc. Once the order is validated, Roastify will respond to Shopify with an Accepted
status and the order will enter production. Typically, Roastify's servers will respond with an Accepted
status within a few seconds (upwards of a minute) of receiving the fulfillment request.
Fulfill orders automatically
Orders will either by fulfilled automatically or manually based on your Shopify settings. If you would like to automatically fulfill orders, you can do so by following these steps:
In your Shopify account, go to the Settings
section and click on General
.
Scroll down to the Order Processing
section and find the After an order has been paid
setting.
Select Automatically fulfill the order's line items
from the dropdown.
