Learn how to create a product with Roastify
If you have finished creating a store, you'll want to add some products to sell. This guide will show you how to create a product in the Roastify App. The process is very similar for adding either Wholesale or Shopify based product. That said, Shopify does requires adding a few extra fields for setting pricing. We will cover both stores in this guide.
Roastify does not manage products for API stores. If you are creating an API store, you will need to manage your products in your own system.
Click on the Store Switcher dropdown in the top navigation bar. In the dropdown, select the store you want to add a product to.
Click on the Products tab in the upper navigation bar. Click the Add Product button, and select 12oz Box from the dropdown.
This is your time to shine! You can start designing by selecting from a variety of templates, or start from scratch. If you would like to learn more about the Roastify designer, make sure to check out our designer documentation.
Periodically during your design process, you can click Generate Mockups to view your product in 3D. Once you are happy with your design, you can download the mockups to use for marketing or social media.
Once you've designed your product, you can select a coffee to associate with the product. Click the Select Coffee dropdown to choose from the available coffees.
For Shopify and Wholesale stores, you do not need to select the grind type (whole bean or ground). Each product will have both grind variants included by default. If you are adding a product to a Shopify store and would like to remove a variant, you can do so in the Shopify product editor.
For Shopify stores, you will need to set a price for your product. You can click the Open Calculator button to calculate your price based on your desired profit margin. If you are creating a Wholesale product, you simply need to add a product name.
That's it, you finished your first product! Once you've completed all the fields, click the Save button. Your product will now be available in the Products page. If this is a Shopify product, it will also be available in your Shopify store ready for sale.
